On February 28, 2023, HNU Alumni Association delegation, led by Ms. Yu Huamei, Director of the Office of Alumni Relations and Advancement of HNU (Center for Overseas Hainanese Friendship) and Secretary-General of HNU Alumni Association, and Mr. Li Haipeng, Secretary of the Party Committee of Zijin College of HNU and Deputy Secretary-General of HNU Alumni Association, visited Shenzhen Alumni Association and alumni enterprises and conducted informal discussions with them.
More than 21 alumni representatives attended the informal discussions. They are Cai Bingtang ‘78, Huang Yong ‘82, Ye Guoyue ‘84, Zheng Xiao’an ‘91, Zhong Hongping ‘92, Qin Jinhuan ‘93, Huang Jing ‘97, Li Yifan ‘98, Fu Wenkai ‘99, Ye Shiyu ‘02, Liu Feng ‘02, Gu Qingjun ‘02, Zhao Bingling ‘02, Huang Yi ‘05, Xu Wengui ‘05, Yans Su ‘06, Mei Yan ‘07, Wu Minzhong ‘10, Gong Zhigang ‘13, Li Jialing ‘14, and Wang Yuchan ‘20 (M.L.).
Ms. Yu expressed her heartfelt appreciation for the hospitality provided by the alumni and applauded their achievements in career and business. She pointed out that through entrepreneurship and innovation, HNU alumni in Shenzhen, the pioneer of China’s reform and opening up, have become the backbones in their fields, not only contributing to the society but also bringing laurels for the University. She also briefed them about the updates of HNU in aspects such as faculty, talent cultivation, teaching, research, and campus developments. She invited them to return to campus to reunite with friends and share their vision for the university’s future.
During this trip, Ms. Yu visited Shenzhen Zhongheng Ruixin Development Holding Co., LTD. founded by Ye Shiyu ‘02, Beijing Yingke Law Firm (Shenzhen) set up by Huang Jing ‘97, and JC DESIGN founded by Huang Yi ‘05.
