Introduction

The Hainan University Mental Health Education Center is affiliated with the Student Affairs Department of Hainan University. Currently, the center has 11 full-time teachers, 16 part-time counselors from inside the university, and 6 part-time counselors from outside the university. There is also one resident psychiatrist available. The center is equipped with 26 counseling rooms.

Primary Functions:

Conducting mental health education.

Organizing mental health awareness activities.

Guiding peer counseling groups.

Providing psychological counseling and guidance to all students.

Organizing psychological assessments and in-depth counseling.

Offering prevention and intervention for psychological crises.

Providing psychological training for center staff, both full-time and part-time teachers, and counselors.

The university, in accordance with the national employment policies and guidelines, conducts career development education, employment counseling, services, and management. A mandatory course titled “Career Development and Employment Guidance for College Students” is established to help students plan their career paths and provide career counseling and education. It also collects and promptly disseminates information about the demands for graduates from various social employers. While engaging with a wide range of employers, it has organized comprehensively large-scale offline job fairs, discipline-specific job fairs, tiered job fairs, and campus-specific job fairs, and small special job fairs hosted by individual employers, creating a comprehensive and diverse employment recruitment system to provide students with ample job opportunities. The university offers services such as guidance on contract signing, resume preparation, interview techniques, information dissemination on the employment situations and policies, and one-on-one counseling to support students in their job searches. The aim is to help graduates develop a deep understanding of themselves, form the right career perspectives, and guide them toward making significant contributions to the nation’s key industries and sectors. The university also assists graduates in signing employment agreements and employment recommendations, employing a multi-pronged approach to facilitating high-quality and ample employment opportunities for university students.

Hainan University has always adhered to educate people as the center, regarding credit loans from their origins and scholarships as the main channel, and work-study, social donations, difficulty subsidies, and tuition fee reductions as a complementary all-round funding model in the student financial aid program. With multi-measures, it implements the assessment of students with financial difficulties in the family and offers the financial aid, so that students can enjoy the national, provincial, school-level and all-round financial aids. 1. Hot water service: All buildings in the student dormitory area are installed with water boilers, which are distributed in public locations on different floors of the buildings. Hot water is supplied 24 hours a day.Please rest assured that it is safe for drinking.

2. Hot water for showers:

Note: The public bathrooms will adjust their opening hours appropriately depending on the weather conditions, where the campus cards are uniformly accepted for consumption.

3. Self-service laundry: Apartment buildings on all campuses are equipped with self-service laundry machines, which students can operate according to their needs by following the prompts.

4. Air-conditioning rental service: The management mode of air-conditioning rental service is implemented in the student dormitories, and air-conditioners have all been preinstalled. After checking in, they can be rented in the following temporary offices: Building 5, Building 13, Building 14, Building 26, and Bauhinia Apartment No. 1. 5. Classroom services: There is a water boiler room in each classroom building. All classrooms are air-conditioned, and classrooms that are not in session are open as study rooms.

6. Courier service: The university introduces the one-stop courier logistics service enterprise (Cainiao Station), which is responsible for the courier business of Haidian Campus, Danzhou Campus and Chengxi Basic Education Department. At present, courier companies such as ZTO Express, STO Express, YTO Express, Yunda Express, EMS, Deppon, JD Logistics and SF Express have been integrated on Haidian Campus.

7. Banking services: There is a branch of ICBC in the residential area of the faculty and staff on Haidian Campus. There is a branch of Agricultural Bank of China (ABC) to the east of the First Cafeteria.
