In his speech, Li Dongyu pointed out that the 12 cutting-edge marine sci-tech achievements showcased at the event are highly aligned with the national marine comprehensive test field (deep-sea) initiative, which aims to pioneer a new path of “field-driven industry advancement and intelligent deep-sea manufacturing.” With the deep-sea innovation consortium (integrating industry, academia, research, government, finance, and services) gaining momentum, these achievements are expected to facilitate deep integration and provide robust support for building intelligent unmanned systems across full-domain far-sea applications.
At the event, Cui Xiaojian and Li Buhong also delivered speeches respectively. Twelve cutting-edge marine sci-tech achievements were presented in the roadshow, covering fields such as deep-sea energy equipment, marine anti-corrosion materials, digital aquaculture technology, marine pharmaceuticals, intelligent bionic robot systems, high-precision environmental DNA detection technology, underwater super-resolution imaging and target recognition systems, tourism aquaculture platforms, marine optical communication, and underwater metal fuel cells. These presentations fully demonstrated the latest accomplishments and vast potential of China’s marine science and technology.
A signing ceremony was also held on-site, during which Hainan Provincial Oceanic Administration and Hainan University formalized a strategic cooperation framework agreement. Under this partnership, the two parties will engage in in-depth collaboration in marine sci-tech innovation, talent cultivation, and research commercialization, supporting the construction of China’s first deep-sea test field while driving advancements in marine science and technology.
