On October 28, a delegation from Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography (MIIGAiK) headed by Vice Rector Shvedova Svetlana paid an official visit to Hainan University (HNU). They were warmly received by Vice President Chen Jun.

Chen Jun extended a cordial welcome and briefed the delegation on HNU’s recent achievements in expanding the scale of operation, strengthening the development of academic disciplines, and promoting international exchanges and collaboration, especially against the backdrop of developing Hainan into a Free Trade Port. He anticipated this visit to pave the way for more pragmatic collaboration based on academic strengths and complementarity.

Shvedova Svetlana expressed sincere gratitude for HNU’s hospitality and lauded HNU’s academic scale, internationalization endeavors, and research excellence. She introduced the history, academic programs, leading disciplines, and flagship projects of MIIGAiK and expressed strong intent to cooperate with HNU in exchange programs, summer camps, cultural exchanges, and joint research.

During their visit, the delegation toured the HNU History Museum and interacted with representatives from the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.

The meeting was also attended by representatives from HNU’s Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, as well as the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.
