Planning experts from the U.S. National Park Service were invited to make keynote speeches. Governmental representatives, industry professionals, and academic researchers nationwide compared notes with each other in terms of the management systems, policy frameworks, organizational structures, concession management, and sustainable development of gateway communities in U.S. National Parks. Given consideration to the ideas and experiences shared by all speakers, they also weighed in on the hopefully workable application to the development of China’s national parks. Following the discussion, HINP and HNU-ASU Joint International Tourism College presented their latest research findings and practical applications in national park management.
