Hainan University isRecruiting Team Leaders in the Field of Ancient Chinese Literature and Art from Home and Abroad for "Dongpo Cultural Research and Communication Center of Hainan Province"

Ⅰ. Recruitment Posts

Dongpo Cultural Research and Communication Center of Hainan Province is a secondary research institution of Hainan University, located on the third floor of the Dongpo Building of Hainan University (Haidian Campus). The center aims to systematically sort out and study Su Dongpo Culture, enrich the system of Dongpo Cultural, and inherit and promote Dongpo Culture. Further, it creates a think tank and platform for Dongpo Cultural research, strengthens talent cultivation, discipline construction, and modern university spirit construction so as to serve the construction of “double world-class project” and high-quality development of Hainan University.

Recruit one team leader for Dongpo Literature and Art Research.

Major (direction): Ancient Chinese literature and art studies.

Ⅱ. Requirements

1. The applicant should abide by the constitution and laws of the People's Republic of China, implement the Party's educational policy, carry out the basic task of fostering virtue through education, love the cause of higher education, and identify with the university’s educational philosophy and development goals.

2. The applicant should possess senior professional titles and a doctoral degree, who has achieved profound academic attainments and gained recognized influence and academic achievements in the fields of ancient Chinese literature research and Dongpo Culture research. The applicant has chaired one project of national social science fund or equivalent level or above. The applicant has published at least 1 paper in top academic journals such as Social Sciences in China, Literary Heritage, Literary Review, Literary Research as the first author or 8 CSSCI papers or received at least 1 provincial or ministerial level award, with the provincial or ministerial level first prize ranking top 2 and second prizes ranking the first.

3. The applicant should possess the strategic vision, innovative thinking, organizational leadership, overall coordination ability, teamwork ability, and dedication required for the target post, and is able to form a new team to enter the forefront of the same field in China.

4. The applicant should be in good physical and psychological conditions to perform duties and do not exceed the age of 55 (born after September 1, 1968). The age requirement for those who are national level talents can be raised to 58 (born after September 1, 1965) .

5. The applicant should work full-time at the university and transfer personnel files to Hainan University.

Ⅲ. Responsibilities

1. Conduct scientific research work. Develop Hainan University into an academic center for research on Dongpo Culture. The specific tasks include but are not limited to:

(1) Conduct high-level academic research. Be able to conduct research on Dongpo Culture from the perspectives of literature and art. The specific research contents are the relationship between Su Shi's Literature and art; The dissemination and acceptance of Su Shi's Calligraphy and Painting in history; the overseas dissemination and acceptance of Su Shi's artistic works; Dongpo Cultural and Creative Products. Publish high-level papers and monographs with significant social influence.

(2) Build a high-level research team. The center has a research team led by Professor Tan Xinhong on the dissemination and acceptance of Dongpo Culture. The new team leader can draw up their own team name. After joining the center, the new team should achieve new results in attracting high-level talents and outstanding young talents, strengthen the cultivation of young and middle-aged backbone teachers, and take lead in the construction of an innovative, competitive, and influential research team.

(3) Promote innovative development in disciplinary construction. Organize the application of national key and major projects, cultivate major platforms and achievements.

2. Complete other work tasks as stipulated in the employment contract.

IV. Employment Period and Salary

1. The post of team leader is evaluated according to the scientific research post, and each employment period is 5 years.

2. After employment, the applicant can be recruited and enjoy relevant salary and welfare of public institutions. For high-level talents who meet the talent introduction standards of Hainan University, they can enjoy the salary and welfare in accordance with the one-solution-for-one-person policy, including but not limited to the following welfare:

Basic Requirements Selected as academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences and CAE Member; Or reach a comparable level. Selected in national (major) talent plan projects; Or preside over national level major or key research and development plan projects; Or reach a comparable level. Selected in the national youth talent plan project; Or preside over national key projects; Or reach a comparable level. Possess strong academic abilities, representative achievements with influence in the discipline, and the potential to support the discipline in maintaining or entering domestic advanced levels; Experienced in organizing and planning national level scientific research projects; Play a major supporting role in disciplinary construction, talent cultivation, and other aspects.

Settling-in Allowance (before tax) 1 million yuan 700,000 yuan 500,000 yuan 400,000 yuan

Salary (before tax) Provide corresponding salary for the hired professional post and an additional talent allowance of 900000-1.2 million yuan/year. Provide corresponding salary for the hired professional post and an additional talent allowance of 700000-900000yuan/year. Provide corresponding salary for the hired professional post and an additional talent allowance of 400000-600000yuan/year. Provide corresponding salary for the hired professional post and an additional talent allowance of 200000-400000yuan/year.

Supporting Policies of Hainan Province 1.The maximum personal income tax for talents who have resided in Hainan for a total of 183 days within a tax year is 15%;

2.Those who have been recognized as high-level talents of Class C or above in Hainan Province can enjoy talent apartments provided by Hainan Province in accordance with the "Guiding Opinions on Housing for Introduced Talent " ( [2018] No. 41 issued by General Office of Hainan). It is subject to the latest policies of Hainan Province.
