Luo Qingming noted that the university has remained committed to its goal of building a world-class university with Chinese characteristics and a distinctive Free Trade Port identity. Through steady and in-depth reforms, and with the collective efforts of its faculty and students, the university has achieved a series of high-level accomplishments in areas such as talent cultivation, scientific research, social services, cultural inheritance and innovation, and international exchanges and cooperation—marking a period of leapfrog development. He called on the HNU community to carry forward the “Hainan University Spirit” of patriotism, dedication, hard work, reform and innovation, and to strive for even greater successes.
