On July 12 (Beijing time)，the top-ranked duo Lin Shidong and Kuai Man clinched the mixed doubles title at the World Table Tennis (WTT) US Smash 2025 in Las Vegas. The paired paddlers beat South Korean duo Lim Jong-hoon/Shin Yu-bin 3-0 to claim the gold. Both champions are Hainan University undergraduates of year 2024 intake, majoring in leisure sports.

Fresh off her mixed doubles gold, Kuai Man teamed up with Wang Yidi to secure a 3-2 win over Sun Yingsha/Wang Manyu in the women’s doubles final, clinching her second crown of the tournament on July 13.

The ITTF’s (International Table Tennis Federation) WTT series has become a pivotal professional circuit, accelerating the sport’s global growth. At the 2025 US Smash, world elite paddlers competed across men’s and women’s singles, doubles and mixed doubles. China’s national table tennis team secured three titles at this event, with two of them claimed by Hainan University student-athletes.
