Hainan University (HNU) is granted the title of “University with Outstanding E-Class Development 2023” according to the recently released list of national excellent E-class development. HNU’s case entitled “‘Qingli Party Building’ for Red Education through Diversified Integration” (Qingli is an online platform for students’ independent learning with focus on ideological and political education) was selected as the “2023 Excellent E-Class Development Case”. Fu Qiongyue, a faculty member from the Student Affairs Department, was awarded the title of “2023 Excellent E-Class Instructor”.

Hainan University was approved by the Social Sciences Department of the Ministry of Education in March 2022 as one of the first batch of pilot universities (six universities only) to engage in development of “Qingli” project. This is the fourth time that HNU has won the title of “University with Outstanding E-Class Development”, and E-Class Development Center has been named the “Excellent E-Class Development Case” for three years in a row.

Guided by the Ministry of Education, the national evaluation of E-Class development is conducted annually, aiming to promote the quality and efficiency of online ideological and political education in universities in the context of educational digitalization. The E-Class Development Center in Hainan University has been playing a leading role in building a new landscape of online ideological and political education, with suitable content and multiple methods, to enhance the moral development of students.
