-Extension: You are supposed to mind the valid duration of residence on the work permit and residence permit (visa), and contact the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange to apply for the extension within 30 days prior to the expiry of the validity period.

-Cancellation of the Work Permit: If you terminate the contract with the university ahead of schedule, you shall first contact Human Resources Office to get the employment separation certificate, then apply to the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange for the cancellation of your work permit and residence permit within 10 working days from the date of the event. After your residence permit is cancelled, you can apply to the Department of Exit-Entry Administration for Stay Permit (visa-type T) on your own.
