1. Master’s Program in Marxist Theory

The first-level discipline of Marxist Theory at Hainan University currently consists of six second-level disciplines: Basic Principles of Marxism, History of Marxist Development, Study of Marxist Sinicization, Foreign Marxism, Ideological and Political Education, and Research on Basic Issues of Modern Chinese History.

2. Political Science

The master’s degree program in Political Science at Hainan University currently includes five second-level disciplines: Political Science Theory, International Politics, International Relations, Diplomatic Studies, and CCP History and Party Building. In the future, efforts will continue to be made to strengthen standardized personnel training and characteristic discipline construction, and to comprehensively serve the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port and the national economic and social development.

Doctoral Program in Marxist Theory

In 2021, our college was approved to grant doctoral degrees in the first-level discipline of Marxist Theory, which currently consists of six second-level disciplines: Basic Principles of Marxism, History of Marxist Development, Study of Marxist Sinicization, Foreign Marxism, Ideological and Political Education, and Research on Basic Issues of Modern Chinese History. There are currently 20 doctoral supervisors and 29 doctoral students.
