Overview

To support the safe and orderly data flow of Free Trade Port and prevent and control risks, protect China's maritime rights and interests in the South China Sea and safeguard national sovereignty and security, and to serve the Belt and Road to build a community of destiny in cyberspace and construct scientific research teams, the School relies on the State Key Laboratory of Marine Resources Utilization in South China Sea, Sub-center of the Information Security National Engineering Research Center of Common Technology, and National Platform for Cryptography Research and Experimentation Environment co-built by provincial and ministerial departments, and conducts scientific research around data security and privacy protection, cryptology theory and technology, space-air-ground-sea integrated communication network security and cyberspace governance. In the past three years, the School has undertaken 3 national key research and development programs including "Research on Key Technologies of Blockchain Ecological Security Regulation", key projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China including "Research on Security of Quantum Cryptography Practical Systems" and consulting research projects of Hainan Research Institute of China's Engineering Science and Technology Development Strategy including "Research on Development Strategy of Safe and Orderly Data Flow in Hainan Free Trade Port", and "Research on Development Strategy of Network and Electromagnetic Space Security in Hainan". The School won 3 first prizes for Scientific and Technological Progress in Hainan Province with relevant results.
