HNU carries out nucleic acid testing

Updated: 2022-04-11

Hainan University carried out nucleic acid testing for all the teachers and students on campus on April 6. The testing started at 2:00 pm and ended at 10:00 pm.

More than 200 teachers from HNU helped with nucleic acid testing information collection at the multiple sample collection sites, which included the school's Haidian Campus and Danzhou Campus.

In addition, the Sanya Nanfan Research Institute of Hainan University implemented two nucleic acid testing campaigns during the three-day Qingming Festival.

Fu Xuanguo, Party chief of HNU, Luo Qingming, president of HNU, and other HNU officials checked the preparation of each nucleic acid testing site on-site, as well as put forward specific requirements for improvement.

Under the guidance of the medical staff members, the teachers of HNU put on protective clothing and started work at 2:00 pm.

"I received the message on April 5 that I was required to undertake some of the work regarding nucleic acid testing information collection. I just felt that I had the responsibility and obligation to do it," said Li Rundong, a teacher from HNU.

Each testing site included a waiting area, an information collection area, and a sampling area, separated by lines and tents. Teachers and students waited in line to undergo testing.

Due to the severe COVID-19 epidemic situation, HNU has suspended the opening of indoor venues like gyms and libraries to reduce the chances of people gathering as part of its efforts to ensure that the campus is safe.
