HNU to host 2nd International Youth Scholar Forum
The 2nd International Youth Scholar Forum will be held at Hainan University (HNU) on Dec 19 and 20, with both online and offline features.
It will consist of an opening ceremony, academic exchanges, and tours to the Hainan Province Planning Exhibition Hall, as well as the HNU History Museum and related labs.
Other highlights include sub-forums on free trade port development and institutional innovation, ecological civilization, cultural tourism, tropical agriculture, marine science and technology, life and health sciences, as well as information technology.
Applicants should be aged below 40 years old, although the age limit can be relaxed for outstanding individuals, hold a PhD degree from overseas or domestic renowned universities, as well as have more than three consecutive years working experience at overseas renowned universities, scientific research institutes or enterprise R&D institutes. Offline participants should have no international travel plans prior to the forum and must comply with HNU's anti-epidemic measures.
Youth scholars interested in the event should register before Nov 25. HNU will send electronic letters of invitation to qualified applicants before Dec 10, and the invitees should confirm their attendance within one week of receiving their letter of invitation.
HNU will provide free accommodation during the forum. Attendees should book flight tickets (economy class only) themselves and apply for reimbursement of up to 5,000 yuan ($743).
