Research base established to advance Hainan FTP litigation
A research base for civil, administrative, and public interest litigation in the Hainan Free Trade Port (FTP) was launched by Hainan University (HNU) and the Hainan Provincial People's Procuratorate on June 19.
The research base is dedicated to conducting theoretic research on issues urgently need to be solved in procuratorial practices, as well as to cultivating professional procuratorial talents relying on HNU's scientific research resources, said Lu Zhiqiang, chief procurator of the Hainan Provincial People's Procuratorate at the plaque unveiling ceremony.
He also extended hopes that the research base will advance the in-depth integration of theoretic research and procuratorial practices in Hainan, as well as contribute to the judiciary development of the Hainan FTP construction.
The plaque unveiling ceremony of the research base for civil, administrative, and public interest litigation in Hainan FTP is held at HNU on June 19.
Xing Kongzheng, deputy head of the Education Department of Hainan Province, noted that the establishment of the research base will enhance the exchanges and cooperation between the university and the procuratorate, as well as boost HNU's discipline construction and talent cultivation.
The Education Department of Hainan Province will give full support to the research base in terms of systems, capital, and personnel, added Xing.
Wu Yaoting, Party secretary of HNU, gave an overview of the recent development of the university and expressed gratitude for the long-standing support of the Hainan Provincial People's Procuratorate. He noted that the research base will elevate the university's law disciplines to a higher level and provide legal safeguards to the Hainan FTP.
