Students and teachers of the College of Music and Dance are giving an outdoor concert at the north entrance of Hainan University (HNU) every night from May 10 to 20 from 8 to 9:30 pm.

The concerts are being held to welcome students who had been prohibited from returning to the university for months because of the COVID-19 outbreak.

The repertoire covers both foreign classics like "Mariage d'Amour" and "Kiss the Rain", as well as Chinese pop songs like "Waiting for You" and "Fairy Tale". The songs will be performed on a wide variety of musical instruments including the piano, violin, cello, flute, and oboe.

Many of the students who returned to the university on May 10 hailed it as a surprise that eased their fatigue from their journey returning to school in this stuffy summer. Teachers and students of the College of Music and Dance are also happy to be able to welcome their peers "return home" with the delightful melodies.
