HNU to assist Qiongzhong in rural rejuvenation
Hainan University (HNU) will enhance its exchanges and cooperation with Qiongzhong Li and Miao autonomous county in talent cultivation, scientific and technological innovation, tropical agriculture, ecological environment protection, tourism, as well as healthcare.
A strategic cooperation agreement was signed between HNU and the people's government of Qiongzhong Li and Miao autonomous county on April 17.

Wu Yaoting, Party secretary of HNU, noted that the university is committed to assisting Hainan's development with all-out efforts, adding that it will organize experts to conduct field investigations in the county, as well as advise on how to propel local tropical agricultural development and rural rejuvenation.
Luo Qingming, president of HNU, noted that the university will build the Hainan Institute of Tropical Rainforest National Park in Qiongzhong Li and Miao autonomous county for research on ecological environment protection.
In addition, HNU will help the county break bottlenecks in key technologies that restrict local industrial development, boosting its rural rejuvenation and agricultural production.
Xu Bin, Party secretary of Qiongzhong Li and Miao autonomous county, spoke highly of HNU's contribution to local poverty alleviation efforts and other works related to agriculture, rural areas, and farmers. He extended hopes that the two sides will achieve mutually beneficially results and contribute to the Hainan Free Trade Port construction with the integration of advantageous resources.
