HNU starts new semester for postgraduates online
The spring semester for postgraduate students of Hainan University (HNU) started online on Feb 24, since the university had postponed the start of the semester in the wake of the intensifying COVID-19 outbreak nationwide.
Fan Wen, vice president of HNU, noted that students and teachers have cooperated closely with each other to make sure the spring semester could begin on time, making great contribution to HNU's fight against COVID-19.
Currently, a total of 417 out of 481 postgraduate lessons have started teaching online, accounting for 87 percent of the lessons from the Feb 24 to April 5 period, involving 26 units and more than 3,000 students.
Teachers have made full use of the online teaching resources to deliver lessons through various methods, including live broadcasts, video recordings, and massive open online courses (MOOCs), pushing forward reform and innovation in integrating information technology and teaching.
