A letter to Hainan University teachers, students
Dear teachers and students,
In response to the novel coronavirus outbreak, Hainan University suggests that you be engaged in prevention and control efforts as follows:
Improve prevention awareness: take the initiative to learn relevant information and take preventative measures; follow official updates and do not believe in rumors or spread rumors.
Develop good habits: wash hands frequently; exercise regularly to boost your immune system; maintain good air flow in your residence; wear masks when going out; cover coughs or sneezes with a tissue or your flexed elbow; no spitting.
Ensure dietary hygiene: don't touch wild animals without protective measures, and don't eat them; food must be thoroughly cooked before consumption.
Minimize outdoor activities: avoid crowded places, parties, and group activities.
Monitor health conditions: seek medical treatment at designated hospitals' fever clinic if you have suspicious symptoms including fever, cough, shortness of breath, and chest pains; avoid taking public transport to the hospital; observe diagnosis and treatment procedures and follow the instructions of medical staff; tell doctors of travel history.
Keep close contact with the university: report your condition to the school in a timely and honest fashion; follow the university's arrangements related to epidemic prevention and control.
