Malaysia delegation visits HNU for cultural exchanges

A delegation led by Lin Qiuya, president of the Federation of Hainan Association Malaysia, visited Hainan University (HNU) on Nov 22 for cultural exchanges. 

HNU students and teachers were treated to a drum performance brought by Malaysia's Chung Hua High School, as well as Malaysian folk songs.

In return, folk songs by the Li ethnic group, as well as dance and Chinese dulcimer performances were also staged to the guests.

Chen Mingbao, director of HNU's Office of Overseas Chinese & Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs, gave an overview of the university.

He noted that Hainan and Malaysia has a long-lasting friendship and expected that the two sides can further enhance their exchanges.

Lin said that HNU is the first stop of their cultural exchange tour, which aims to further ramp up China-Malaysia friendly relations.
