HNU hosts National Natural Science Fund management seminar

A seminar on the management of the National Natural Science Fund in Central and South China was held at Hainan University (HNU) on Oct 22.

Che Chengwei, deputy director of the Bureau of Planning of National Natural Science Foundation of China, discussed the application and approved projects this year, as well as key work of the fund's reform for the future.

Representatives from the foundation's Office of Research Integrity Development, Bureau of Finance, Bureau of International Cooperation, Department of Mathematical and Physical Sciences, and Department of Earth Sciences also delivered keynote speeches.

Wei Yong, deputy head of the Department of Science and Technology of Hainan Province, introduced Hainan's achievements in supporting scientific and technological development.

Luo Qingming, president of HNU, gave a rundown of the university's projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China.

Group discussions were conducted on fund application and expenditures.
