HNU vice president attends World Forum on the Rule of Law

Wang Chongmin, vice president of Hainan University (HNU), attended the 2nd World Forum on the Rule of Law at Tsinghua University on Oct 18.

The forum consisted of three thematic conferences, two education seminars, and two roundtable conferences, which revolved around scientific and technological innovation and the construction of the rule of law.

Yihan Goh, dean of the School of Law of Singapore Management University, Munin Pongsapan, dean of the School of Law of Thammasat University, Yang Song, vice president of Liaoning University, Zhou Changjun, dean of the School of Law of Shandong University, Sean Cooney, vice dean of the School of Law of the University of Melbourne, and Anthony Niblett, professor of the School of Law of the University of Toronto, delivered keynote speeches during the first thematic conference on legal regulations of scientific and technological innovation.

Wang was invited to review their speeches along with Feng Guo, dean of the School of Law of Wuhan University, and Chang Yufei, vice dean of Civil, Commercial and Economic Law of China University of Political Science and Law. He noted that the innovation of modern science and technology is market-oriented. It is necessary to conduct strict supervision on a series of activities in which the potential of science and technology is transformed into productivity.
