Seminar explores marine ranching development strategy
A seminar on the research project of Hainan province's modern marine ranching development strategy in the context of the Hainan Free Trade Zone (Port) construction was held at Hainan University (HNU) on Oct 19 and 20.
The topic is a key project of the Hainan Research Institute of the China Engineering Science & Technology Development Strategy. Fu Guohua, vice president of both the institute and HNU, delivered a speech.

Lin Haoran and Bao Zhenmin, members of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Lin Qiang, head of the National Fisheries Technology Extension Center, as well as Zhang Xiumei, Chen Pimao, Zhang Shouyu, Tian Tao, Lin Guoyao, and Li Weidong, members of the Marine Ranching Expert Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture & Rural Affairs, attended the seminar.
Bao put forward specific suggestions on the project's strategic positioning, development path, and principles. Wu Xiaoyi, professor of HNU's School of Oceans, detailed the implementation of the project and the research results. Other experts also shared their vision on construction tasks and development strategies.
