Guizhou University delegation visits Hainan University
A delegation led by Deng Zhaoyong, vice president of Guizhou University, visited Hainan University (HNU) on Aug 13 for exchanges regarding internationalization, faculty construction, as well as ideological and political education.
Wu Yaoting, Party secretary of HNU, gave a rundown of the university at a symposium. He noted that HNU will ramp up cooperation with internationally advanced education resources, pay attention to the growth of college counselors, as well as innovate ideological and political teaching.
HNU and Guizhou University are both elected into the Double First-Class Initiative to become world-class universities with first-class disciplines. The two share a great number of similarities and should enhance communication to achieve their respective goals, said Wu.
A symposium is held between Hainan University and Guizhou University representatives.
Deng, who shares the same vision, introduced the history, development, and planning of Guizhou University at the conference. He spoke highly of HNU's achievements in recent years, especially in advancing internationalized education.
A discussion was conducted on the internationalized education philosophy, faculty construction, and asset management.
The delegation then toured the College of International Tourism, the Sino-Japanese Exchange Center, and the History Museum of HNU.
